Lena Gripp is a photojournalist, freelance photographer, and digital designer from north-central Iowa.  Her interest in creating media led her to attend Buena Vista University.  In May of 2020, she graduated from BVU with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Digital Media.

 

The summer before her senior year, she interned for BVU's Office of Community Engagement.  During this time, she researched successful social media strategies and produced videos encouraging BVU students to work with non-profit organizations in the Storm Lake community.

 

Also while attending BVU, Lena participated in writing for BVU's online newspaper, the Tack, as the Assistant Editor of the Opinion section.  She was also involved in BVU's photography club Capture It!

While Lena has spent time working on other multi-media projects including audio and video projects, she specializes in writing and photography, and runs an Etsy shop on the side, where she designs, prints, and cuts her own stickers, presses shirts, and creates digital designs.
